ABOUT || DOSE

Emanating from Salina, California, Dose is veteran to life experience. Having his faith tried and tested several times in just the last few years, he is left with a choice that we all made: should I deny Christ or should I still believe? When pressed with hard times, many of us quickly bail on our faiths believing there is no God watching over us. It's easy to assume there isn't a God when you put to question why so many bad things happen in this world, especially to good people. Dose has been at this very crossroads, but as his life's story can attest; he chooses to remain faithful in believing that God knows what He's doing.

Gone through many name changes from HalfLife to Asaph the Psalmist and finally, Dose, his current name is in reference to his ability and desire to offer some truth and wisdom through his music, even at small amounts. What's important is the quality, not the quantity. Through this understanding, Dose has been successful at taking his native West coast influences and infusing them into melodic rhymes and banging beats. With the premiere of his first Death2Self release, NOTEBOOK FABLES, Dose has since matured stylistically and spiritually and is preparing a new wave of music in a way that shows how far he's come and how he chose the path less taken, by faith, and has arrived a much stronger and valiant recording artist.
